Tiger Motor's  Background:



The current Tiger factory was Thai Kawasaki when it belonged to Thai owners.
Back then, a lot of Kawasaki models i.e. KR150, GTO,Vector etc were designed and produced in Thailand.

This was 35 years ago until 1997.

In  the economic crisis(1997) , Thai Kawasaki was  forced to sell their share back to the Japanese Kawasaki and both ( Thai Kawasaki & Japanese Kawasaki) decided to go their own ways.






In 2000, Tiger collaborated with Cagiva & MZ ( Germany) for a brief period.
Produced were 2 models:
Stella and F4.
Stella is originally Italian designed, but F4 was a joint collaboration and was designed and made here in Thailand (not an Italian design).
This F4 model can be said that it is the original of the Tiger Boxer.


In 2002 The Brand Name " Tiger" was born.

Tiger's goal is to manufacture high quality Bikes to various uses & designs for affordable Price.

Thai  made Quality components and engineering of the Bikes are being used and also assure easy access to spare parts , if needed.


Tiger did a lot of expanding in the Asian market ,also attending in various Motorcycle Races in various Asian countries ( ie. Philippines , Malaysia) and winning a lot of these races as well.
In addition , Tiger bikes can operate with Gasohol ( e10 & e20) and also have some electric-powered  Bikes.

The E-Boxer is such bike and  is marketed & sold in the USA with plans to also sell it in Thailand & Asia.

As for the future & current... Tiger's dynamic development & engineering Team led to the introduction of the Retro 110 and the TT 150 Bikes in 2009 , and more is still to come.

The Factory, located in a suburb of Bangkok approximately 25 km. from the city center,occupies an area of 114,000 square meters.

This spacious area allows Tiger Motorcycle to do everything in house; from research and development to testing and manufacturing all the way to the logistics to keep an international company competitive.

Tiger Motorcycle is a widely diversified company with production ranging from petrol and diesel engines for agricultural usage, motorcycles and motorcycle engine components, and three wheeled vehicles.

The company also has an eye on the future with development of electrical bikes, golf carts and four wheeled vehicles to satisfy the need of the new environmentally conscious consumer.
